Nice to meet you, I'm Shay.
I started shooting to remember. I quickly learned that my favorite photos are never the ones where everyone is arranged nicely facing the camera — they're the second right after: the laugh that bursts out, the hug held a little too tight, the look parents send each other over their kid's head.
That's why I shoot outdoors only, in natural light, and only small sessions: couples, first birthdays, first grade and families. No studio, no heavy lighting, no “hold that smile”. Just you, Ashdod's light, and me with one camera.
